China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) is one of the eight pilot universities in China that is qualified for awarding the Juris Master degree since 1996. Established in 2005, we are the only school in China specializing in Juris Master students. In the past decades, more than five thousand students have graduated from the School of Juris Master. We’ve been authorized as the university to award the ‘Juris Master education reform pilot’ and ‘Master degree comprehensive reform project’ from the Ministry of Education since 2011 and 2015 respectively. CUPL was awarded level “A” in the evaluation of JM degree level among 109 Universities in 2018.

Our students are not law majors at the undergraduate level. JM is equivalent to JD in the United States. There are about 1100 students and more than 5000 graduates of the school of Juris Master.
